Omkareshwara Temple

A short walk from Madikeri Fort, the Omkareshwara Temple, built in 1820, is a striking blend of red-tiled Kerala architecture and Islamic-style domes. Dedicated to Lord Shiva, the temple is famed for its Linga, believed to have been brought from Kashi. This unique architectural combination and sacred artifact make the Omkareshwara Temple a notable destination for both devotees and visitors.

Tadiandamol Peak

Tadiyendamol, the highest peak in Coorg and the second tallest in Karnataka, is a trekker’s delight. At 1,748 meters, its gentle slopes and lush greenery offer breathtaking views and tranquility. The Padi Igguthappa Temple, dedicated to Igguthappa, the Kodavas’ chief deity and ‘Giver of Grain,’ adds cultural and spiritual depth to the region. Tadiyendamol is a must-visit for nature lovers and spiritual seekers alike.

Madikeri Fort

The Madikeri Fort underwent two major renovations during the British era. In 1933, the British added an impressive clock tower to the fort. What sets Madikeri Fort apart is its diverse range of structures within its walls, including a temple, an Anglican church, a prison, and a museum. This combination of features makes Madikeri Fort a unique and historically rich site, reflecting its multifaceted past and architectural evolution.

Abby Falls

Abbey Falls, also known as Abbi Falls, is a sought-after waterfall in Kodagu district. The River Kaveri plunges about 70 feet over broad rocks, offering a stunning spectacle. Though not as tall as some other Karnataka waterfalls, Abbey Falls impresses with its wide cascade and picturesque scenery. Its close proximity to Madikeri city adds to its appeal, making Abbey Falls a convenient and attractive destination for visitors seeking natural beauty and easy accessibility.

Raja’s Seat

Raja’s Seat, situated on a hilltop, was once the favored spot for kings to enjoy serene sunsets. This scenic vantage point provides breathtaking views of the distant mountain ranges. Visitors can also experience the charm of the Baba Saheb Express, a delightful toy train that adds to the area’s appeal. Raja’s Seat offers both historical allure and picturesque landscapes, making it a must-visit attraction for those seeking stunning vistas and a touch of royal nostalgia.

Raja's Tomb

The Raja’s Tombs, housing Veerarajendra, his wife, and their son Lingaraja, feature an intriguing blend of architectural styles. While the tombs exhibit Islamic elements such as domes and minarets adorned with trellis work, the entrances are marked by carvings of Hindu deities. This unique fusion of design reflects a harmonious integration of cultural influences, making the Raja’s Tombs a fascinating site with both Islamic and Hindu artistic elements.

Cauvery Nisargadhama

Nisargadhama, a stunning riverine island shaped by the Cauvery River, lies just 2 km from Kushal Nagar and is accessible via a hanging bridge. Spanning 64 acres, this eco-park enchants visitors with its picturesque beauty. The island offers a range of attractions, including a deer park, an orchidarium, and opportunities for a scenic boat ride. Cauvery Nisargadhama’s lush landscapes and diverse activities make it a popular destination for nature lovers and adventure seekers alike.

Glass Bridge Madikeri

The Glass Skywalk Bridge in Kodagu, set among the lush forests and hills of the Western Ghats, is a captivating attraction. This stunning Glass Bridge in Madikeri draws tourists with its unique design and breathtaking views. Suspended high above the landscape, it offers an exhilarating experience and panoramic vistas of the surrounding natural beauty. The bridge’s clear floor provides an impressive view of the forest canopy below, making it a must-visit landmark for those seeking adventure and scenic splendor.

Mr. Thomas is very punctual, friendly and reliable. We delayed in some places. He still managed to cover most of the places as per the plan. Never rushed us or showed face. He also explained about all the plants and trees on the roads. Myself and my mom traveled alone, we felt very safe. Price is also reasonable. Highly recommend his cab service.
